Roccat’s new gaming mouse is said to offer 800 hours of battery life, but it might struggle

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

With the Kone Air, Roccat has introduced a new gaming mouse. Not only is it wireless, but it should score with 800 hours of battery life. MeinMMO introduces the mouse to you and tells you what to expect.

In its latest presentation, Roccat surprises with a very restrained design for a gaming mouse and a long battery life.

The manufacturer uses well-known technical properties that are already known from earlier Roccat mice. Nevertheless, the mouse could have a hard time in the competitive field, despite the long battery life.

How do I properly hold my gaming mouse? 3 handle types simply explained

Roccat’s new gaming mouse is simple and uses batteries

What kind of gaming mouse is that? What is immediately noticeable is the restrained design. Because Roccat completely dispenses with RGB lighting in the Kone Air, which is surprising compared to the colorful Kone XP that we were able to test. The mouse is available in either black or white.

In terms of ergonomics, however, Roccat remains true to the Kone series and is very similar to the Kone XP or the Kone Pro. With the old mice, the ergonomics have convinced us so far and could well imitate the human hand and that should also be a plus point with the new Kone Air.

There is also a thumb rest on the left side and a button for DPI or profile changes on the top. A real highlight, however, could be the battery life of the gaming mouse. Because Roccat promises that the mouse should last 800 hours. Two batteries are placed inside the mouse, reminiscent of the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed.

Inside, Roccat uses well-known technical features. The Owl-Eye sensor with 19,000 DPI is used as the sensor, while the Titan Optical button switches are located under the mouse buttons, which are also installed in other Roccat mice.

The Kone Air’s heavy weight could put it at a disadvantage compared to the competition

Nevertheless, Maus could have a harder time compared to the competition. With a weight of 119 grams (with one battery), the model weighs significantly more than the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed (83 grams) or other wireless mice such as the Logitech G502 Lightspeed (102 grams). With a second battery, the weight should be even higher.

This means that the mouse should have a hard time, especially among gamers who are looking for a light and wireless gaming mouse. With many manufacturers there is now a tendency for the mice to become lighter.

Does the perfect gaming mouse exist? The Logitech G502 X is close if it wasn’t for the darn price

What will the Kone Air cost and when can you buy it? The Kone Air will be available from November 14th and can already be pre-ordered directly from Roccat for 69.99 euros.
