Since 2014, Pix Moving working on a new type of autonomous vehicle revolutionary. Called Robobus, it is now ready for production and more than 1000 copies should see the light of day by the end of this year.
The idea is to be able to offer different environments from a single platform mobile. This is how the interior space can be arranged according to several uses, by choosing the appropriate module. The Robobus can thus take on the appearance of a mobile office, but also of a play area for gamers, with its console and its screen, of a gym, with its mats on the floor, or of dormitory, with its large bed! Professionals could benefit from a tailor-made interior, such as a food truck, a cafeteria or even a mini mobile store.
Note that the Robobus can theoretically hold up to six people, depending on its configuration. It is also relatively compact, measuring just 3.8 meters long by 1.9 meters wide. But with its 2.2 meters high, it stands out and almost anyone can stand in it.
Make no mistake, this is not about cars intended to ride in traffic, but rather as shuttles which would be used to serve various points over short distances, on closed circuits or perfectly delimited areas. Moreover, the Robobus displays relatively modest performances, with its speed top speed of 30 km/h and its autonomy less than 100 km.
