Alflen had transferred two talented midfielders from that year’s group to the first, Bart Ramselaar and Sofyan Amrabat. “Bart had to rely on football, he was soon able to keep up with that in the first. But if you have to rely on your power in the youth, it takes longer before you can express those qualities in the first.” says Alflen. “The difference that Sofyan could make in the youth, he couldn’t make in the first.”
