Two men are suspected of a serious robbery in Mellerud.
They claimed to be police officers and entered a residence – where the robbery victims were subjected to some form of spray.
According to Aftonbladet’s information, the robbers came across gold jewellery.
Just before 05:00, on the night of Sunday, an aggravated robbery was committed in the municipality of Mellerud.
Two masked criminals entered a residence by pretending to be police officers.
– They must have expressed it verbally, I have information. But I have no information that they had uniforms or dressed up, says August Brandt, press spokesperson at the police.
A man and a woman were victims of the robbery. The robbers used some kind of spray and forced jewelry and a cell phone through threats of violence.
The suspected perpetrators were later arrested when their car stalled, according to Aftonbladet’s information.
The incident is being investigated as aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated breach of domestic peace and impersonation of a public position.
