The man has admitted that he was part of the gang that in February 2021 shot the dog guard, who was out resting the artist’s three dogs in Hollywood.
The man is sentenced to robbery of the second degree by the court in Los Angeles, to a prison term of four years
Surveillance images from the scene show a car stopping near dog guard Ryan Fischer. Two men jump out of the vehicle, and demand that he give them the dogs. A fight breaks out, where a shot is heard, and Fischer falls to the ground screaming.
The two men then take a dog each and flee the scene. The third dog, which ran away in the commotion, returns to the dog handler when the robbers have disappeared.
The suspected shooter, a 19-year-old man, was arrested, but was later falsely released and is missing. A 28-year-old woman is suspected of aiding and abetting.

The convict’s father’s girlfriend is also suspected of involvement, as she turned in the stolen dogs to the police in the hope of receiving an announced reward of half a million dollars.
Ryan Fischer survived the attack, but suffered several lung collapses before doctors decided to operate to remove a third of his left lung, according to Rolling Stone.
In connection with the incident, the investigators stated that they did not believe that the gang went after the dogs because of their owners, but rather that they were looking for valuable dogs of the French bulldog breed.
