The investigative committee of the US House of Representatives started its last meeting on Monday evening, Finnish time, where it voted on the final report, which is expected to be published on Wednesday Doland to Trump and to the attempted capture of the Capitol.

A thousand eyewitnesses have been interviewed, public hearings have been held and more than a million documents have been collected for the report.

It all started with former President Trump’s false claims that the Democrats stole the presidential election. This eventually led to a crowd of mostly Trump supporters storming the Capitol just under two years ago in January. At least five people died. 900 people were arrested for their involvement, and about 800 people were charged with various crimes.

The report was approved by a vote of 9-0.

Trump should be charged with aiding and abetting insurrection, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to commit perjury and obstruction of the official process of Congress, the investigative committee recommends.

The committee declared the decision to be a “roadmap to the realization of justice”.

the chairman, Bennie Thompson according to Trump lost the 2020 election and he knew it himself.

– He chose to stay in his position, ignore the election result and prevent a change of power.

The support of the recommendation is anticipated by the vice-chairman of the committee, Liz Cheney’s statement on Monday night before the vote.

– No one who behaves like that at such a time can ever serve our nation in any position of authority ever again. He is unfit for any office, Cheney said.

According to Cheney, every president in American history, except one, has advocated for an orderly transition of power.

However, the recommendation given now does not mean that charges will necessarily be brought, as the final decision is made by the Ministry of Justice.

The 76-year-old Trump has announced that he will run for president again in the 2024 presidential election.
