Good news for all fans of The Division 2. In a community update, the developers have announced two major title updates for 2022. In addition, a “Year 5” is officially planned. We show you the contents of the roadmap and why not everything is going according to plan on MeinMMO.

The loot shooter The Division 2 had long disappeared from the scene. In 2020 the thick expansion “Warlords of New York” came, but the support was to end abruptly and surprisingly.

It was only when it became clear that the fan base was larger than expected that development was restarted on a small scale. This then led to Season 9 with Title Update 15, which apparently was successful enough to keep Division 2 on the back burner.

Because a new community update now shows a roadmap for the planned updates for 2022 – two more are to come. The developers also confirm content for “Year 5”. This makes it clear that Division 2 will continue after March 2023.

What else the community update reveals can be found below. We include the Roadmap 2022 for you here:

Division 2: 2022 coming 2 title updates

What does the roadmap reveal? You will get an overview of the approximate release dates of the two planned seasons 10 and 11 and the content that is included:

  • season 10
  • Starts at the end of August
  • New Manhunt
  • New equipment and weapons
  • Legendary difficulty for Tidal Basin and Manning National Zoo
  • Season 10 test server starts in August
  • season 11
  • Starts early December
  • New Manhunt
  • New game mode
  • New equipment and weapons
  • In addition, minor adjustments are planned, such as “Quality of Life” changes, which should enhance the gaming experience.

The community update also mentions the new Countdown mode. The developers are happy about a lot of positive feedback and would like to implement a game request: more setting options for the difficulty level of the new mode.

“Still one of the best games for me” – Why shooter fans should catch up with The Division 2

However, there is also a small setback. When Season 9 was announced, the developers promised extensive revisions to the specializations, which is a kind of class system in Division 2.

There is still no date for these major revisions. The developers write that they only want to give a release date when they are satisfied with the adjustments.

Almost as a side note, there is excellent news for all fans of the loot shooter: The Division 2 gets a “Year 5”. Season 12 will probably continue in March 2023. However, there is currently no further information on this.

In addition to the main title of Division, the roadmap also shows information about some offshoots that are in the works. There was a limited test of the Free2Play title The Division: Heartland and a mobile game for Division is to be announced in early July.

However, the community update does not offer any more details. If you want to see something about Division: Heartland, then have a look here: Finally new information about the Free2Play shooter from The Division – Heartland should offer 4 modes
