The list of performers includes Randy Houser, The Washboard Union and Hailey Benedict.
The festival is being held by the Paris Agricultural Society, organizers of the Paris Fair held annually over the Labor Day weekend. It is being billed as a celebration of the community’s agricultural community.
Agricultural society officials recently announced that up to 25 percent of the net profits from the festival will be given to a newly established The Rivers ‘n’ Roots Growth Fund.
Details about the new fund are still being developed.
However, the fund will be used to support grassroots projects and initiatives promoting agricultural leadership in Brant County. There will be five awards including two for individuals, one for a service group, another for a grassroots initiative and one for a business start up.
