River Brigade follows the River Brigade of Gendarmerie 37, in the magnificent setting of the Loire and the Château de Chambord…
River Brigade is a 90-minute TV film which was scheduled on France 3 on Saturday November 2, 2024, at 9:05 p.m. It takes viewers on an investigation by the Gendarmerie River Brigade 37, in the magnificent setting of the Loire and the Château de Chambord. Under the orders of the charismatic Commander Victor Flaubert (a nod no doubt to the writer), the BFG-37 will have to use its talents on land and water to elucidate a mysterious homicide.
The scenario of River Brigade opens with the macabre discovery of the body of a young archaeologist in the waters of the Loire. The investigation quickly takes an unexpected turn and seems to point towards the surrounding walls of Chambord. The BFG-37, in charge of the investigation, will then reveal itself to be more than a simple elite unit. Victor Flaubert’s brigade indeed functions like a real family. Each of its members contributes their contribution, celebrating victories together and sticking together in adversity. A cohesion which will be more necessary than ever to overcome this delicate matter and lift the veil on the gray areas of the prestigious castle.
Thomas Jouannet, the TV Stakhanovist
To carry this suspenseful plot, France 3 relied on a choice casting. Headlining River Brigadewe find the indestructible Thomas Jouannet in command of Flaubert. A tailor-made role and above all yet another appearance for this more than familiar face from the small screen, a true Stakhanovist of the TV film and TV series.
Launched in the 90s with notable appearances in First kisses Or Model classThomas Jouannet has already played his part in many investigations, in Tailpiece, Women of law, Commissioner Moulin, Candice Renoir, Cain, Murders in…Or Brocéliande more recently, among the best known. And he obviously knows how to do everything since the faithful of Nina were also able to follow him for several seasons in the role of the tortured Dr Costa Antonakis on France 2.
Doctor, teacher, cop, gentleman, good friend or frozen lover, Thomas Jouannet has also tried his hand at darker registers, as in the thriller Prometheus or the series Contactexploring his playing range with more or less success. He was even a young married in Joséphine, guardian angel ! We pushed the vice to the point of counting and it’s quite impressive: almost 80 roles on television, not counting around ten films and without being entirely sure of having listed everything. Hats off to the artist!
