Disney+ is putting online a series adapted from the novel of the same name by Jilly Cooper this Friday, October 18.
The cathodic war can begin. Rivals, a British series exclusively produced for Disney+, arrives on the platform streaming. Created by Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Laura Wade, this fiction is an adaptation of the eponymous best-seller written by Jilly Cooper in 1988, going behind the scenes of a television channel.
In the casting, viewers will recognize some of the iconic actors of British television, such as David Tennant (Doctor Who, Good Omens), Aidan Turner (Poldark) or Alex Hassell (Violent Night, The Boys). The eight episodes of the first season are broadcast on Disney+ starting this Friday, October 18, 2024.
What is the synopsis of Rivals ?
In the county of Rutshire, the Corinium television channel must face the rivalries of its members and in particular, the conflict which burns between Lord Tony Baddingham and Ruppert Campbell-Black. Frontal attacks and manipulations, everything is allowed to succeed, against a backdrop of romance and betrayal.
