Riot brings back a popular game mode, but now it’s even more chaotic

In League of Legends, the developers at Riot Games are bringing back a popular game mode. This time, however, it is more chaotic than ever.

What game mode is it? The Ultimate Spellbook game mode was removed from League of Legends for just over two years. The game mode will return at the end of September and will have a few new features on board.

How does the mode work? In game mode, champions gain additional ultimate abilities from other champions in addition to their normal abilities.

The mode is played normally in 5v5 on Summoners Rift, but runs faster because the additional skills add more action. However, the developers at Riot Games have changed the game mode to make it even more chaotic, as the adjustments show.

The second season of Arcane is coming soon. You can watch the trailer here:

Double ultimates for even more chaos

What has changed? In the two years that the mode has not been in the game, it has not been gathering dust in a drawer – on the contrary: the developers have come up with some innovations and changes:

The new features include 4 choices of ultimates instead of 3 at the start of the game. New extras have also been added to the overall list and you can now change your ultimates “at regular intervals throughout the game”.

The biggest and most important innovation also brings a lot of chaos into the game. The new feature “Ultimate Ammo” is an upgrade that can be obtained in the mid-game of the game. The upgrade ensures that your ultimates can have two charges.

You can get the upgrade from Baron, the Elder Dragon, and by earning dragon souls. The two charges will also allow you to use two ultimates one after the other. This will make the new game mode even more chaotic and wild with all the ultimates.

Are there any other changes? Yes, the developers at Riot Games have also tweaked some small details. Junglers in particular will be pleased with improved timers for jungle monsters, as well as balance tuning for Auto-Smite.

Anyone who wants to test Ultimate Spellbook now can do so on the League of Legends PBE server. The new mode could also be a consolation for the professionals from America. The heart of e-sports is now being taken away from them: LoL: Team wins spectacular 1st championship title – It will be their last, because Riot is taking away the USA’s own league
