The nuclear power plant Ringhals 4 will not be able to start as planned after the summer’s annual maintenance.
“It is very unfortunate that Ringhals 4 will be idle for longer than planned,” says Ringhals CEO Björn Linde in a press release.
Ringhals 4 was shut down in mid-August for annual maintenance and fuel change. In connection with a mandatory test when the plant was to be restarted after shutdown, the pressure vessel, which is one of the plant’s major components, was damaged.
