Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo appointed as Prime Minister

Twenty-four hours after the dismissal of Appolinaire Kyelem from Tambèla and the dissolution of his government, the head of the junta in power in Ouagadougou appointed Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo as Prime Minister. The latter was in charge of the Ministry of Communication, with the rank of minister of state, in the former team.

In a decree read on Burkinabè television on the evening of Saturday December 7, the head of the junta in power in Burkina Fasothe captain Ibrahim Traoreannounced his decision to appoint Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo as Prime Minister. Aged 41, he replaces Appolinaire Kyelem de Tambèla, sacked the day before.

Spokesperson for the outgoing government, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo was also in charge of the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism – with the rank of Minister of State -, a position he occupied in all the teams that have succeeded one another since the first named the day after the coup d’état which brought captain Ibrahim Traoré to power, in October 2022.
