The Finnish Member of Parliament Ben Zyskowicz (Collection Party) has been assaulted in eastern Helsinki, Finnish media reports. – He said he hated me, hates Jews, says Zyskowicz. Zyskowicz was heading towards the subway with some party colleagues when a person approached. – He ran and caught up with me. He pushed me over on the ground, says the politician to Finnish MTV3. According to Zyskowicz, the man mentioned NATO and threatened to push the parliamentarian in front of the subway. After that, he allegedly punched Zyskowicz in the face. In addition, he expressed himself racist. – He continued with his insults. He said he hated me, hated Jews, Zyskowicz told MTV3 – He put his face to mine, and shouted that he wanted to kill me, the politician tells EPN. Chasing the perpetrator, Zyskowicz began chasing the man who stopped, turned and pushed him over. The politician escaped with minor injuries and filed a police report regarding assault and illegal threats. – I thought it was important to make sure that the police arrested him. You shouldn’t just be able to beat a candidate and then get away, says Zyskowicz. President Sauli Niinistö and the Helsinki police drew attention to the incident on Twitter.
