It’s the perfect week for powerful gear in World of Warcraft. We’ll tell you how to get really strong loot.
Even though World of Warcraft Dragonflight has been out for a month now, many players are still chasing the best gear. Sure, the first season is still relatively fresh and the particularly crisp “Mythic+” dungeons pose great challenges. Every item with a high item level is worth its weight in gold and ensures that your character becomes significantly stronger.
But especially in this “WoW week”, which started on December 28th, 2022, there is really strong loot and it is “almost” free.
How do you get the loot? For this you must have reached at least level 70 and have an acceptable basic equipment. In Valdrakken (or the Adventure Guide) you can accept a quest that requires you to complete 4 dungeons on Mythic difficulty. It doesn’t matter whether you complete these dungeons from normal Mythic (“M0”) or at a higher keystone level (“M+”). Once you have completed 4 dungeons, you can return the quest to Valdrakken and receive your reward box.
What loot can be inside? The reward box contains a loot from Vault of Incarnations on Heroic Difficulty. This means that in the “worst case” you will get an item with item level 402. However, this can also be significantly higher. In the best case, you will even get some of the “rare” loot, which then even goes up to item level 418! That should be a big upgrade for most characters.
Why are there different item levels? This is because the loot is “staggered” in the Vault of Incarnations. The first bosses drop items that have a slightly lower item level, while the later bosses have better loot. This is to make the later bosses feel more rewarding, as they tend to be a bit more difficult to complete as well.
The quest is due to this week’s dungeon event. You have until next Tuesday (01/03/2023) to complete this quest. This is also useful for second characters, because some of the “M0” dungeons – such as the Temple of the Jade Serpent – can be mastered in a few minutes and even with poor equipment.
