How long can a film be? As long as it needs to be, Napoleon director Ridley Scott would answer. His war epic will soon appear in cinemas and on Apple TV+. The new trailer shows again, in which bombastic images the rise and fall of the French ruler are dressed.

Ridley Scott’s epic war film is coming to Germany in two versions
Napoleon describes the career of the most famous French citizen (played by Joaquin Phoenix), who seizes power after the turmoil of the revolution Brings Europe to its knees through legendary campaigns. In addition to victory on the battlefield, his love for Joséphine (Vanessa Kirby) also determines his thoughts.
Scott’s war film will be released in cinemas with a length of 160 minutes. Compared to the planned streaming version for Apple TV+, that’s nothing: the version there is supposed to be a full 250 minutes, i.e. four hours and 10 minutes (!), long. The concentrated power of the film, which the new trailer suggests, can unfold its power even more freely.
When does Napoleon appear?
Napoleon is born on November 22, 2023 come to the cinema. The four-hour Director’s Cut will most likely be released shortly afterwards, but no time has been set yet.
