Ridgetown woman accused of attacking former partner with knife

A 30-year-old Ridgetown woman is facing charges after Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic in progress at an address in Ridgetown on Saturday.

Police said officers arrived on scene and learned the accused had allegedly attacked her former partner with a knife.

The accused has located and arrested for assault with a weapon, police said.

During the arrest, police said the woman allegedly spit in the fact of a police officer. She was also charged with assaulting a police officer and held for bail, police said.

Police administer Narcan to woman who overdosed

A 38-year-old female survived a drug overdose thanks to the actions of Chatham-Kent police.

Officers were called to a Thomas Avenue address in Wallaceburg around 2 pm Friday in response to a suspected overdose, police said.

Police arrived on scene, administered multiple doses of Narcan and began life-saving measures.

The woman regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital by ambulance, police said.

45-year-old Wallaceburg man was taken into custody after Chatham-Kent police were called to a Murray Street address in Wallaceburg at 2:30 am Friday.

The man was located in the area and he was learned he was on conditions not to be at the address where he was located, police said.

The accused allegedly resisted arrest, but was eventually taken into custody, and transported to police headquarters to be held for bail, police said.
