French-speaking authors are always there with a large number of texts sent following the spring call for applications. 135 texts from 25 countries were submitted to the reading committee with a strong presence of authors from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin and Haiti. And still more authors! They were 15% to submit a text in 2022, they are 22% this year, during the tenth edition. Their presence renews, without a doubt, the reading grids, posing a new and active look at the social structures and the political situation of each country. The name of the winner of the 2023 RFI Theater Prize will be announced on Sunday September 24 and the prize awarded in Limoges, as part of the Zébrures d’Automne festival.
