RFI on shortwave report at the Issoudun transmitter center rebroadcast

In March 2023, The media workshop was reporting in Issoudun, in the center of France, where the immense ALLISS antennas are located, managed by TDF, which broadcast short waves internationally the programs of RFI and other radio stations, through a series of hops in the ionosphere.

The media workshop went to TDF center of Issoudun-Saint Aoustrillewhich has been broadcasting shortwave radio programs (OC or SW) since 1950. shortwave), including those of Radio France Internationale.

In this report, we hear Denis Morelfuture manager of the TDF Issoudun site, Philippe Urdouilliemanager of the Issoudun site, and Jérôme Hirigoyendirector of development at TDF, in charge of international radio stations.

In these interviews, shortwave broadcasting is explained as well as frequency allocation. There is also talk of digital shortwave broadcasting, called DRM, and the system DRMCastdeveloped by TDF.
