(Finance) – Reway Groupthe largest Italian operator in the sector of road and motorway infrastructure rehabilitation as well as the only one in Italy to also have the maintenance of the railway network in its core business, announces that its subsidiary Gema – among the main operators active in the maintenance of infrastructure and civil works in the railway sector – has been awarded two new contracts in the railway sector for a total value of 56 million euros.
There first orderassigned entirely to Gema by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) and with a total value of approximately 45.6 million euros, concerns the executive design and construction of acoustic mitigation works along the Bologna – Lecce railway line in the Municipality of Tortoreto (Teramo ). The works will last five years with a start expected in the first half of 2025. In detail, there will be around 20 workers involved in the construction of reinforced concrete works necessary for the execution of the support curbs and the subsequent installation of sound-absorbing barriers.
There second award concerns executive planning and extraordinary maintenance works relating to the removal of the architectural barriers of Lot 8 (Rome and Cagliari). The value for Gema of the contract awarded by the Italian Railway Network (RFI) to a ATI of which the Reway Group subsidiary is a party with a 20% share is approximately 10.4 million euros. The interventions, which will last five years and are expected to start within the first quarter of 2025, will involve around 20 workers.
Thanks to the two new orders acquired, the order book of Reway Group rises to 1.131 billion euros, gross of the portion invoiced in the fourth quarter of 2024, and is made up as follows: 29% work in motorway tunnels, 28% railway work, 14% motorway viaducts, 11% safety and noise barriers, 16% other highway works, 2% civil engineering.
