A decision has come from Google that concerns almost everyone who uses the search engine. The software giant has officially announced that it will introduce a continuous scrolling feature in Search for Desktop that will directly impact our search results. Thus, Google has signed a decision that will officially change the desktop search page.
‘CONTINUOUS SCROLL’ FEATURE FROM GOOGLE
Listing the search results in pages, Google displays page numbers when you reach the end of a search result. To see more results, you can go to the next pages with search results by clicking on these numbers in order.
However, according to information shared by Google on Twitter, desktop users will now be able to automatically see up to six results pages if they want to reach the bottom of a search results page and continue to see more results.
The software giant calls it the “Continuous Scrolling” feature and is currently making it available for calls made in English in the US.
Google first brought continuous scrolling to mobile search in October 2021. Now it seems to bring this feature for desktop search results as well. While it is said that continuous scrolling is like infinite scrolling, it does not go on forever.
Starting today, we’re bringing continuous scrolling to desktop in English in the US so you can continue to see more search results easily. When you reach the bottom of a search results page, you’ll now be able to see up to six pages of results. pic.twitter.com/xIuVP24FFm
