Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris is calling on the EU to review trade relations with Israel following the country’s decision to ban the UN aid agency for the Palestinians, UNRWA.
Harris calls the decision “disgraceful”.
– The most important thing the EU can do right now is to review the trade relations, says Harris ahead of a meeting with EU Council President António Costa.
According to Harris, there is no alternative to UNRWA, and Israel’s new legislation that prevents the UN agency from operating will lead to more people dying.
Israel’s Knesset parliament voted through the new two-part legislation on Monday.
