A little over a year ago, the spy series Kleo started on Netflix, in which Jella Haase, as an ex-spy in the GDR, embarks on a campaign of revenge after the fall of the Wall. The production caused an international stir (even best-selling author Stephen King praised the series) and a second season was quickly announced. Since then, however, things have been quiet about the spy thriller. That’s changing now. Today the first details about the second season of Kleo were announced.

The hunt for the red suitcase continues: This time, ex-GDR spy Kleo is supposed to destroy it once and for all. It quickly becomes clear that the content plays a crucial role in the reorganization of Germany and Europe after the Cold War. So it’s no wonder that the KGB and CIA are also after the suitcase – and thus also have the former Stasi killer in their sights. While Kleo holds the future of Europe in her hands, she is catapulted deeper into her own past than she would have liked.
By the way, Kleo is not the only major role in which Jella Haase returns in 2024. The actress will also be in Chantal in fairyland appear, her own solo film with her character from the Fack Ju Göhte series. There is no cinema release yet.
