The man had the opinion that they agreed to be anonymous. But as SVT previously told, the information he soon reached the police to the prosecutor, who wanted to use it in the trial.

Wanted to do the house search – with the police

The prosecutor demanded to know the man’s identity, and even applied to do a house search by the police – a measure that the district court denied. But by that time, the man thought he was already revealed and agreed to testify.

The man today has a protected identity. Together with his lawyers, he has decided to sue the state. A copy of the lawsuit was submitted in advance to the National Police Chief who got the chance to come up with a counterpart. The reflection period has been extended in batches.
