A person from the Reuters news agency’s security team has been killed in a Russian attack on a hotel in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk.
The news agency itself announces it in one statement.
Two Reuters journalists were also injured in the attack, one of them seriously.
“We are urgently seeking more information about the attack, including by talking to the authorities in Kramatorsk, and we are supporting our colleagues and their families,” writes Reuters.
The man was a British citizen and was one of six people in the Reuters team in Ukraine, the BBC reports.
The body of a British man in his 40s was found in the racial masses after 19 hours of searching, writes TT and refers to the Ukrainian National Police.
Correction: An earlier version stated that a journalist had been killed.

Belarus is gathering large amounts of soldiers and military equipment at the border with Ukraine under the pretext of a military exercise, Ukraine’s foreign ministry says.
The information about the military buildup in the Homel region comes from Ukrainian intelligence services.
“We warn Belarus not to make the tragic mistake for its country under pressure from Moscow, and call on its armed forces to cease unfriendly actions,” adds the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
Ukraine calls on Belarus to withdraw its forces from the border, beyond the firing range of Belarusian weapons systems.
According to Ukraine, the presence of Wagner soldiers has been noted.
The police were called to northern Växjö this evening after a suspiciously dangerous object was found near a residential area.
The police’s national bomb protection went to the scene, and assesses the object as serious.
A report has been made of a serious offense against the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.

A man in his 30s has been stabbed with a sharp object in Vetlanda.
He has been taken to hospital and is considered to be seriously injured.
The police received the alarm at 19.45.
– This happened outdoors in central Vetlanda. We have a huge police resource on site, says Linus Maxe at the police’s regional command centre
Are there more injured people?
– WE cannot rule it out, but it is nothing that has come to our attention.
No one is arrested.
The police have set up a large cordon and are in full swing with witness interviews and investigative measures. Among other things, they map surveillance cameras.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder. Police do not believe it is a random choice of victims.
Parts of Orly airport in Paris have been evacuated after a bomb threat, write Le Parisien.
According to information to the newspaper, the police received an anonymous call at 6 p.m. The caller said he had placed a bomb inside one of the airport toilets.

Hezbollah’s response to the attack that killed its top commander Fuad Shukr was delayed due to “massive” Israeli and US military mobilization.
This is what Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah says in a televised speech.

The man who was arrested on suspicion of being the perpetrator of the knife attack in Germany admits to the crime, the police confirm.
He has now been detained on suspicion of, among other things, participation in a terrorist organization.
Three people were killed and several injured in Friday’s attack on a festival in Solingen, Germany. An intensive search for a perpetrator was launched and late on Saturday evening a person could be arrested, suspected of the crime.
The man, according to German media a 26-year-old Syrian who came to Germany in December 2022, admitted the crime in police custody after turning himself in, the police announced in a press release on Sunday.

A civilian police car has collided with a passenger car on Hornsgatan in Stockholm. Two people have been injured and taken to hospital.
One of the injured was in the car, and the other injured in the police car. The cars must be recovered from the scene.
Police on the scene have taken witness statements and taken pictures of the accident scene.
The police write on their website that the case is led by the Special Prosecutor’s Chamber, as police officers themselves are involved.
An 85-year-old woman was found dead in a lake in Växjö municipality on Sunday afternoon.
– We received an alarm that a private person had seen a body in the water. When we go there, we find a person who is dead in the water, says Fredrik Bratt, press spokesperson for the police.
The woman’s relatives have been informed of the death. The police do not suspect any crime,
At 15:00 the police and ambulance were called to Slätteberga in Kristianstad municipality, when a car ran over an elderly woman with a walker.
The driver, a man in his 80s, tested positive and is now suspected of drunk driving.
The woman had to go by ambulance to the hospital, but was awake and able to speak.

It is the United States that has donated the 10,000 doses of vaccine to combat the new, more dangerous variant of the virus known as clade 1.
Over 70 countries outside of Africa have already received vaccines. Several doctors and scientists have expressed concern and warn that there are problems in the way international bodies deal with global emergencies.

His involvement in the crime “is currently the subject of a thorough investigation.” The man has been arrested on suspicion of crime before, the police said without giving any more details.
The 26-year-old, the third to be arrested, however, is said not to be known in Islamist contexts – but the terrorist movement IS has claimed responsibility for the attack. The man is now being investigated for, among other things, participation in a terrorist organization, according to a spokesperson for the federal prosecutor’s office.
