Dozens of people have been killed and several wounded in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza’s Rafah, a local rescue official told the news agency Reuters. The media office of the government led by the extremist organization Hamas says that there would be at least 30 dead.

According to a rescue authority source, Israel carried out attacks on an area intended for Palestinian refugees.

According to the source, among other things, tents inhabited by refugees caught fire in the Tal Al-Sultan camp after the Israeli attacks. The area is located in the northwestern parts of the city.

The Israeli army says it struck an area where “significant Hamas terrorists operate”.

On Friday, the international court ICJ ordered Israel to stop the attack on Rafah.

The court justified its decision by saying that the situation in Rafah has further deteriorated and can now be described as catastrophic. Almost 800,000 people have been forced to leave Rafah since Israel launched an offensive there.

As expected, Israel rejected the ICJ’s decision and said it was acting in Gaza in accordance with the provisions of international law.
