German fans will have to wait a few more weeks for the zombie spin-off The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon to start streaming. In the USA, however, the first season on AMC had already come to an end and the finale featured the surprising return of a The Walking Dead veteran who made history.

The Walking Dead record: Carol is the first character with three series appearances

While Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) initially has to make his way through his own spin-off as the only known character in France, he has no longer been alone since the season finale. After a vocal cameo in episode 5, Carol (Melissa McBride) can also be seen in person at the end of the last episode.

A reunion of both characters will not take place until season 2. With her return, Carol is already making The Walking Dead history.

After 13 years, six series and over 300 episodes, she is now the first character who Appearances in three series of The Walking Dead franchise was able to complete.

From the third episode of the first season until the series finale, Carol was an integral part of The Walking Dead. Aside from her main role in the mother series, she appeared as a guest in the opening of the fourth season of the spin-off Fear the Walking Dead. Daryl Dixon is now the third The Walking Dead series to feature Carol.

In 13 years, no other character has managed to sneak into three series of The Walking Dead Universe. A total of 15 characters have already appeared in two series. Here’s an overview:

    • Carol won’t be the only The Walking Dead character for long, which was seen in a total of three series. A new spin-off, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, will launch in February 2024, bringing back both Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) for a third series appearance.

    When does The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon start with Carol’s return in Germany?

    All six episodes of the first season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon are available from December 8, 2023 on Magenta TV ready to stream. A second season – with the additional title The Book of Carol – is already in production and will premiere in 2024.
