(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Once again everything to (re)do for the single telecommunications network. The December technical meetings closed with a substantial nothing doneas expected, although there was still hope for a last-minute breakthrough.

The title TIM on the stock exchange brought home today a gain of 2.88% at 0.225 eurosin view of today’s meeting and the words of Premier Giorgia Meloniwhich reaffirmed the need to bring the single network under public control.

“This government gives itself the twofold objective of taking control of the networkfor strategic reasons that I think we all share, and to work as much as possible for maintain employment levels“, Meloni confirmed at the press conference, adding “we leave the rest to the free dynamics of the market, but allow me to be cautious about how we get there”.

In the meantime, the fourth technical meeting between the representatives of the government (MEF and MIMIT) and the TIM shareholders (Vivendi and Cassa Depositi e Presiti) to discuss the future of the Single Network emerging from the union of the TIM network and Open Fiber. An operation that should lead to the birth of a non-vertical operator and working alone on the wholesale market. The main node remains that of value to give to the asset.

The solution to this and other problems underlying the negotiations will not arrive in these days and i talks will also continue in January 2023 on a slightly different level. Once the technical discussions under the aegis of Minister Urso and Undersecretary Alessio Butti have ended, a new phase of confrontation which will also involve management of TIM, to arrive as soon as possible at a shared and solid framework.
