The water board elections remained tense even longer than the Provincial Council elections. But the results of the four water boards in the province have now all been received. BBB (BoerBurgerBeweging) has become the largest in two water boards (Vallei en Veluwe and Rivierenland). Water Naturally is the largest party in the De Stichtse Rijnlanden Water Board and the PvdA (Partij van de Arbeid) received the most votes in Amstel Gooi en Vecht.
