Restaurateurs and the police are taking action – that’s how Sundsvall’s pubs will become drug-free

On Wednesday, an agreement was signed between Sundsvall’s municipality, the police and 19 restaurateurs to stop narcotics in Sundsvall’s pubs. This must be done with the “Taverns against drugs” campaign.

Part of the campaign is a training where the staff learned, among other things, how to find signs of drugs and how to deal with people under the influence of drugs.

– It is popular and we hope that more restaurants will join after the summer, says Robert Gatugård.

The police make targeted efforts

The role of the police is to hold continuing education and have a clear function to which pub owners can turn. The police will also carry out targeted efforts against drugs in the pub environment.

In the video, restaurateur profile André Berglund talks about the drug situation in the pubs.
