Michel Bou Antoun would actually have arranged a party on Saturday night in his restaurant. It is located right by one of Svartån’s dams in Västerås.
But the large amounts of rain during the night caused the river to overflow its banks and flow straight into the restaurant. Now he has spent the day trying to save what can be saved from the almost half a meter high water.
– I don’t know what’s happening now, but I’m going to file a claim. It’s a disaster, the worst thing I’ve been through, he says.
