The police have cordoned off an area at a restaurant on Linnégatan in Limhamn. Bullet holes in a window were discovered after lunchtime and a technical investigation is now being carried out.
– The bullet holes were discovered earlier today. It’s probably nothing that has happened in the near future, but we are there now and are doing a technical investigation to secure any traces, says Evelina Olsson, spokesperson for police region South.
It is supposed to be several bullets that were fired, but the police cannot yet say more about the findings on site. During the autumn and winter, several restaurants in the Malmö area have been subjected to attacks, including with hand grenades and flammable liquids.
The police cannot currently comment on whether there was any threat to the restaurant or whether there may be a connection to previous events.
The closures at the site will affect bus traffic on Linnégatan during the afternoon.
