UTRECHT – The volleyball players of Booleans/VV Utrecht have achieved a great victory in the Eredivisie. Zwolle was defeated in a five-setter in Stadium Galgenwaard. The men of Taurus were beaten by champion candidate Dynamo.
VV Utrecht showed a lot of resilience on their own field. They lost an exciting first set 26-28, then won the second set 25-23. Zwolle took the lead again in the third set, but Utrecht reacted strongly. The fourth and fifth set were won by VV Utrecht 25-21 and 15-6.
With the win, VV Utrecht is now fifth in the Eredivisie, with 27 points from 15 games. Zwolle is one spot lower, with 25 points from 13 matches.
Taurus remains fourth despite defeat
The volleyball men of Taurus ran into a big defeat. On a visit to number two Dynamo in Apeldoorn, the Houtenaren were beaten 25-13, 25-13 and 25-23.
Despite the defeat, Taurus remains fourth in the Eredivisie, with 23 points from 15 matches. That is the best of the rest, because the gap with number three Lycurgus is already eight points.
