Eight people are said to be trapped under the rubble of an apartment building that collapsed in central Marseille, writes The Guardian.
– We don’t know if they are alive, says Frank’s Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin.
It was during Sunday afternoon that a suspected explosion triggered the slide.
In addition to the eight missing, five people were injured. A further 33 people were taken care of by emergency personnel.
Adjacent buildings were also damaged in connection with the collapse.
