A resident scared off two unknown people who were attempting to break into a Simcoe home on Friday night.
Police say two individuals had removed the screen from a bedroom window at a home on Oakwood Avenue and were attempting to enter the home when they were confronted by the homeowner. A resident inside the home screamed at the suspects, who then left the property in an unknown direction.
Norfolk OPP responded to the report of a break and enter in progress at about 12:30 am
Investigation is ongoing.
Police remind residents to ensure doors and windows are secured on their homes.
“Tea PPO reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times and to be extremely vigilant when any stranger arrives at your home,” police said in a media release.
