Resident Evil will be adapted to next-generation consoles, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 7 will also come to PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Resident Evil will be adapted for next-gen consoles. According to Capcom’s announcement yesterday, remakes of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 will be adapted for Xbox Series X and Playstation 5. Refurbished versions are expected to be released later this year. Capcom, which had a great success with Resident Evil 8, seems to have no intention of wasting the year 2022.

Capcom also announced that ray tracing support will come to the PC versions of the games that it will adapt to the next generation consoles. It was also stated that 3D sound support and higher FPS values will also be included in the aforementioned update. Although it is not explained how effective the ray tracing support will be, the lighting of the shared images looks good.
Resident Evil 2 Remake made a great impression in the year it was released (2019) and was shown as one of the best productions of the year. So much so that RE 2 Remake is still cited as an example when “remakes” games are mentioned. The remake of Resident Evil 3 was not well liked.
On the other hand, Resident Evil 7, just like Resident Evil 4 did, radically changed the structure of the series and switched to the FPS camera. This change also caused controversy, but when we look at the success of Resident Evil Village, it seems that Capcom made the right decision again.
