Capcom has responded to be part of the support of PlayStation VR 2 at the time of its release. Indeed, the Japanese publisher announces that its Resident Evil 8 Village game will be one of the titles available when Sony Interactive Entertainment’s virtual reality headset is released on February 22, 2023. Better still, anyone who already owns the game on PS5 , regardless of the edition, will be able to play it for free via a downloadable update. This virtual reality mode supports the entire main campaign, as was the case with Resident Evil 7. Capcom also specifies that this VR mode uses the 4K HDR screen, eye tracking and 3D sound so that the experience to be as intense as possible. A good opportunity to rediscover Lady Dimitrescu’s castle as if we were there. On the gameplay side, it is indicated that thanks to the new controllers, the PlayStation VR2 Sense, it will be possible to protect yourself by raising your arms, but also to repel enemies that are too sticky. Capcom also promises more realistic weapons in this VR mode, via two-handed weapon handling and natural movements to reload firearms and wield the knife. We can’t wait to test this.
