Researchers Check all football stadiums for danger of collapse

The current standard prescribes that grandstands must be able to withstand a maximum load of 500 kilos per square metre. But if supporters jump close to each other and also do so in the same rhythm, the load increases to 900 kilos per square meter. So all stadiums, including Galgenwaard, must check how much load the stands can handle and take measures if necessary.
