In Germany, the movements of the yacht that moved near the pipes at the time of the incident are being investigated.
The investigation into the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines continues fiercely.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturdaythat German researchers will look into the evidence that the group that carried out the sabotage considered Poland one of its bases at the time of the act in September 2022.
According to the magazine, the researchers have made a reconstruction of, among other things, the route of the Andromeda spacecraft and its possible involvement in damaging the pipelines from Russia to Europe.
The 50-foot vessel was moving according to satellite and navigation equipment in the event area and changed course to deviate into Polish territorial waters from Danish and Swedish waters.
According to the newspaper, “the DNA of a Ukrainian soldier” would have been found in the sailboat.
Neither the German Central Criminal Police nor the Polish Prime Minister’s Office responded to an interview request from Reuters, which reported on the WSJ article.
There are several estimates about the perpetrators of the sabotage. Russia and Ukraine have blamed each other for what happened.
Ukraine planned an underwater explosion?
The Washington Post magazine said earlier this week that the CIA had received intelligence about plans to damage the pipelines three months before the explosion.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi denied that Ukraine participated in any way in the attack on the pipelines.
According to the WP magazine, the underwater pipes were damaged with a powerful octogen explosive.
Russian ships were seen near the explosion sites
Russian ships have also moved near the explosion sites.
According to a report by four Nordic broadcasting companies, Russian ships visited the vicinity of the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion site at least twice in June.
The last visit to the area was just less than a week before the explosions in September 2022.
In one case, a Russian ship remained near the explosion site for almost a day. Russian ships moved in the area with their AIS positioning devices turned off.

The United States is alleged to be a background influence
It is generally estimated that the act is intentional. The quality of the explosive is considered to indicate a state actor.
Some theories have mentioned the alleged involvement of the United States.
Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh claimed in February that the operation had been commissioned by the White House and carried out by the CIA with Norwegian support. About the claims of a famous American journalist wrote, among others, the British newspaper The Guardian.
According to the theory, the United States would, among other things, try to cut Germany off from Russian gas and accelerate the entry of Norwegian gas products into the market.
