Research into road safety priority square t Goylaan cycle paths

Priority square

A priority square resembles an oval roundabout, and is also called an oven. The intention is to make it easier for traffic to move through without having to wait as long as at a normal roundabout or an intersection with traffic lights.

At the locations in Utrecht where these squares have been constructed, such as on ‘t Goylaan and Marnixlaan, the four-lane roads have been reduced to two-lane roads.
