Rescue workers died in Libya

The accident occurred when the group of 19 people were on their way from Benghazi to the flood-hit Darnah, said Othman Abdeljalil, a minister in the government that rules the eastern part of the country.

15 rescue workers were injured, according to the minister.

“Eight are in stable condition and for seven the situation is critical,” he says.

The rescue workers’ vehicle collided with a car in which a family was traveling. Three people in the passenger car died and two are seriously injured.
