Reported side effects decreased
The number of reported side effects of medicines decreased last year, according to the Swedish Medicines Agency.
In 2022, 22,466 reports were received, a sharp decrease compared to 2021 when the number was 99,211. The decrease is entirely due to the fact that the number of reported suspected side effects of covid-19 decreased when more people were vaccinated, according to the authority.
Of the reports of serious suspected side effects received in 2022, 60 percent concerned women and 40 percent men.
