The digital care tool Platform24 that is used in healthcare information has major security flaws, according to a report that SVT Skåne has seen.
The tool is the basis for the “Search care” service, which is supposed to help patients find the right care digitally – but according to the report, three out of ten patients are sorted incorrectly. This is denied by the tool’s manufacturer.
Region Västra Götaland stopped the use on June 1, according to information given to SVT due to the safety deficiencies. However, 18 out of 21 regions use the platform or plan to do so.
