It is a controversial report. The European Food Safety Authority, EFSA, has issued a text in which it judges that glyphosate, the active substance of several of the most widely marketed herbicides, does not pose a new health risk justifying its ban. This could lead to the renewal of its authorization by the European Union at the end of the year.
