Report: Only seven countries reached good air quality in 2024 | Brief news

Last year, only seven countries met the criteria set by the World Health Organization for good air quality. The weakest air quality was in Chad and Bangladesh, where average pollution levels exceeded the WHO criteria 15 times.

The information comes from a report announced by the Swiss IQAIR company on Tuesday.

According to the report, the best air quality was in Australia, New Zealand, Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Estonia and Iceland.

There were significant shortcomings in the information collected by the company, especially for emerging countries. In many countries of Africa and Asian, information on air quality is available in limited extent.
