Repair of Utrecht wharf cellars is again delayed

Utrecht – The restoration of wharf cellars and vault walls in Utrecht will take about six months longer and will cost an additional 150,000 euros. Alderman Rachel Streefland writes this in a letter to the city council. It has been clear since 2007 that the yards need maintenance. Some basements have serious leaks, subsidence and in some cases there is a risk of collapse. After years of discussions and investigations, recovery plans are once again delayed.
