(Finance) – The Commander General of the Financial Police, Gen. CA Andrea De Gennaroand the President of the Competition and Market Authority, Dr. Roberto Rustichellihave signed today the renewal of memorandum of understanding relating to the collaboration between the two institutions. The agreement consolidates the already existing synergies and aims to guarantee the overall effectiveness of the measures to protect competition and the market.
To the Special Antitrust Unit from the Financial PoliceSpecial Department of the Corps, is responsible for carrying out the checks requested by the Authority, autonomously or making use of the support of the territorially competent Departments.
The agreement also provides for the possibility of an exchange of data and information, aimed at making the pursuit of the respective objectives more effective goals institutionalwhile enhancing the specificities of each institution.
In this sense, the memorandum constitutes a valuable tool for ensuring legality in the market of goods and services and testifies to the commitment and efforts that the Financial Police and the Authority have always ensured to protect competition and consumers.
