(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Six months for the authorization to regenerate renewable energy plantsthree for solar on roofs and systems for self-consumption, one for the installation of heat pumps with power below 50 MW: these are the new rules on permits for renewables, valid for 18 months for pending authorization processes, approved by EU energy ministers.
According to the text adopted the planning, construction and operation of plants and installations for the production of renewable energy “are assumed” of overriding public interest.
This should allow such projects to benefit from a simplified authorization procedure thanks to the relaxation of some environmental requirements included in specific EU directives. Member States will be able to limit the application of these provisions to certain parts of their territory, types of technology or projects.
