(Finance) – In the last call for tenders of 2021 dated Energy Services Manager for incentivize energy produced from renewable sources, demand from operators has increased, especially with regard to wind and photovoltaic systems. For register A, in fact, – GSE says in a note – 626 applications were received for a total of 308 MW, compared to the 260 MW banned. Of these questions, 508 concerned new photovoltaic plants for over 264 MW and 118 applications concerned onshore wind, for over 44 MW requested. Overall, between auctions and registers, out of 4,825 MW of power made available, including that not assigned in the previous tenders, the Operator received 1,156 applications for a total of 1,833 MW requested.
All the details relating to the results of the seventh call have been published by the GSE in the specific section of its website. Also interesting is the result of Register B, which concerns the requests for new hydroelectric plants. In this case, on a banned capacity of 20 MW, 75 applications arrived, for more than 16 MW requested, thus reaching 80% of the quota.
Good results also for the auctions of Group A, that is wind and photovoltaic. The power made available was over 3,312 MW. For this Group, the GSE received 100 applications, for an overall request from operators of over 1,232 MW. It should be considered, however, that for the auctions of Group A the seventh call provided for a quota of 1,600 MW, to which the over 1,700 MW not assigned in the previous procedures were added. In submitting their applications to the auctions of group A, operators have proposed an average discount of 2.1%, corresponding to an incentive rate of 65 euros per MWh. As per the calendar published on the GSE website, the eighth race will open on January 31, to close on March 2, 2022 and will make available to operators more than 3,300 MW not assigned in previous calls. If, even with the eighth call, all the power available is not saturated, the GSE will open a ninth call on May 31, 2022.
