Renault will unveil a hydrogen powered concept car next May

For now, this is just an image, but it could say a lot about Renault’s long-term future. During the announcement of the brand’s financial results, the CEO of the group, Luca de Meo unveiled the first lines of a concept which will be officially presented in May.
The particularity of this experimental vehicle is that it will sport a hydrogen engine. For the moment, Renault has only invested in this area through commercial vehicles and on a very small scale. But in the words of his boss, this concept will mark the opening of a new chapter for the brand. This will revolve around three values: “environment, security and inclusion”.

See you in May

The environmental part concerns the hydrogen engine as well as the use of recycled materials in large proportions. Security will be entrusted to new technological innovations that have not yet been revealed. As for the inclusion part, it seems quite difficult to define for Renault, which evokes the defense of this value “through the diversity of the teams and the accessibility of the vehicle”without further details.
